The Madison VFW Day Post 7591 won a contest for a landscaping redesign from TriState Stonemakers, builders specializing in sculpted concrete. Doug Birkholz Design provided concept sketches to present design options to the Officers and Members of the Post through the ideation phase, as well as renderings to illustrate the design, and scale drawings to assist with construction planning and production. Site design included hardscape improvements for easier handicapped accessibility, patio and seating areas, the addition of green space with built-in planters, a dramatic spire to increase visual focus on the flag, and updated identity signage.
